Local historian, Larry Kidder, will tell the story of the battles of Trenton and Princeton that took place between December 25, 1776 and January 3, 1777 and why they are so important in the history of the American Revolution. In many ways his talk focuses on the people of New Jersey, especially Hopewell Township, and how their lives were influenced by the events discussed. The talk is based on Mr. Kidder’s research for his recent book entitled The Ten Crucial Days: Washington’s Vision for Victory Unfolds (The Knox Press).
